Filmmaker Spotlight: “Lions & Wolves” by Keith Collins II
Hey readers. This month’s spotlight is an exciting piece of content that showcases the ability of its author to make great genre films.
“Lions & Wolves” is a 3-minute action short film written and directed by Keith Collins II. The short stars Porche Robinson, Phillip Southall, Tony Time, and Terrell Richardson Jr. Robinson plays a woman who is captured and tortured by a trio of criminals, played Southall, Time, and Richardson. Due to its length and the fact that its very light on plot, I won’t give away what happens.
What I can say is that Keith shows off his amazing talents as a fight coordinator while also giving his actors enough character development to deliver superb performances that keeps viewers emotionally invested in the story (especially Robinson). Thus, “Lions & Wolves” works as both a magnificent display of fight choreography and escapist entertainment that will have you spellbound until the end credits. Anyway that’s it for this month. I’ll be back soon with another spotlight, but for now…
